Jessica Hayes is one of the newest additions to the KASL family. She comes to us from Cleveland, Ohio, although she is a Wyoming native. She obtained an associates in multimedia communications from Casper College. She most recently attended the Ohio Center for Broadcasting. Jessica likes to spend her free-time driving, making music, taking pictures and laying outside getting a good tan.
Pam Penfield

I’ve been working at KASL Radio for over five years now. I manage the office and try to keep everybody organized. I’ve been married for 24 years to the same good guy – Ted, and we have a son, Jesse who is 21, and a daughter Paige, who is 18 and will graduate this year. I’m the daughter of a taxidermist, who taught me a true love for Wyoming wildlife and animals in general. I have five dogs and four cats, and enjoy any time that I spend in the Black Hills National Forest or our local L.A.K. lake. I like the variety and fun that working in radio has given me, and I especially enjoy creating radio spots for my loyal customers, who always end up being my friends.
Shirley DeMerritt

Hi, I’m Shirley DeMerritt. I was born an raised in Newcastle and I went on to graduate from the Universtiy of Wyoming. Someday I hope to finish off a long overdue master’s degree. I am married to Dennis and have three wonderful children and a very spoiled grandchild, my dear little Maxx. My hobbies are many – my family likes to to do the sport of fast draw. It is similar to the old time gun fights, but now we face off against a time clock, balloon or metal target. It is a great family sport and a lot of fun. My other hobbies are art, anthropology, archaeology, reading and traveling. I love a trip into the Black Hills to have a picnic or to enjoy the scenic drive. I have worked for KASL since August of 1999, so you might say that I am too crazy to leave. It seems like radio gets in your blood and you have a hard time leaving it. I sell and record ads, help with the “Moments in History” programs and whatever strange task that they might ask me to do.
Tammy Cookston

My name is Tammy Cookston and I am happy to be a part of the sales staff at KASL radio. I was born in Newcastle, but was raised in Moorcroft, Wyoming. I returned to Newcastle about four years ago. I have two wonderful boys and enjoy crafts, listening to music, reading, working and playing on the internet. Most of all, I enjoy the time spent with my family and friends. I am here for all of your advertising needs, so please feel free to call me, I look forward to working with you!
Hedy Bond

Hedy Bond moved to Newcastle from San Diego, California recently and absolutely loves working at KASL! It has given her a chance to meet people in and around the surrounding area. Hedy loves spending time with her husband and enjoys watercolor and acrylic painting in her spare time. If you need more foot traffic in your business, she can help you with your advertising!
LaRinda Spencer

LaRinda has recently returned from Montana from a brief lapse in judgement while living there for eight months. She loves being back in God’s Country and now has a new appreciation for what community means to her mental health. She loves all of the personal and social opportunities that Newcastle and North East Wyoming has to offer. LaRinda is active in community services and boards and is a fan of the Newcastle Area Chamber of Commerce. Working/playing at KASL is just another opportunity to serve the community and assist in enriching the lives of those that live here. She enjoys writing, reading, culinary delights, all things coffee, friends and family.
