On Friday night, January 20th the Newcastle Dogie boys and girls teams hit the road for a double header in Torrington, Wyoming to face the Trailblazers.  The girls hit the court first dropping the game to the Lady Trailblazers 61 – 41 following a solid first half.  Dogie boys hit the hardwood shortly after falling to Torrington 53 to 24.

Following a conference loss for each team, the Dogies looked for much needed wins against the Glenrock Herders on Saturday night (January 21).  The Dogie boys played at home at the Dogie Dome losing to Glenrock 43-36 in a fairly close encounter.  The Lady Dogies rebounded from the previous nights loss and defeated the Lady Herders 56 to 31 while on the road in Glenrock.
